Spring Cleaning Isn’t Just for Around The House
Refresh Your Facility’s Situational Awareness
As the snow melts and foot traffic ramps up, larger facilities experience a seasonal shift in activity and risk. Now’s the time to remind your team that situational awareness and a security mindset is everyone's responsibility, especially in high-traffic areas.
Here’s your spring checklist for awareness:
✅ Walk the site with fresh eyes
Without winter coats to cover them, get back in the habit of looking at ID badges for staff and visitors to make sure they belong in that area.
✅ Check sightlines and lighting
If you're rearranging the lobby or another space, make sure you still have the coverage you want from your security cameras or reception desk. This goes for any landscaping projects you might be planning.
✅ Recalibrate your instincts
With the increased instances of the unhoused seeking refuge, be aware when walking the property or unused hallways.
✅ Update staff briefings
Review suspicious behavior protocols, visitor procedures, and how to report odd activity.
Security isn’t just alarms and locks it’s people paying attention. And spring is the perfect time to get everyone tuned in again. If you want help with anything security related, my team at 360 Security Consultants are here to help you protect what matters most.
